Retirees

The Gainesville Police Department has a well connected, well organized, mostly social network of retired police officers formally titled the “Gainesville Police Department Association of Retired Police Officers, Inc”.

The Association promotes the general welfare of retired police officers of the Gainesville Police Department. It is a cooperative liaison with the members of the GPD. The Association assists and cooperates with the duly constituted authorities in the City of Gainesville and elsewhere in promoting law enforcement, respect for authority, and suppression of criminal activity.

Regular membership is open to police officers retired from the GPD. Associate membership is open to active members of the GPD or civilians who are involved with the Gainesville Police Department.

Membership Dues

Dues are $10.00. Payment of dues includes copy of quarterly newsletter and entitlement to attend Association meetings.
