Volunteer Opportunities
The Gainesville Police Department currently employs volunteers on an as needed basis. There are no standing vacancies for volunteers unless a request is made for a volunteer/intern by one of our divisions.
Volunteers are in house, and may be assigned to various administrative duties. Some examples of these include assisting with property and evidence, working in crime analysis, Forensics, Public Information Office, and also working on special assignments as requested by the operations districts.

- Complete the Volunteer Packet:
- Once completed, you must contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 352-393-7532 in order to make an appointment to drop off your forms.
Once processed, Your name will be added to an eligibility list which volunteers can be selected from, and you will be contacted when a position becomes available.
