ReportRapeGainesville.org is a collaborative project between the Gainesville Police Department and the Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center designed to assist victims of sexual assault and offer an alternative to a police response in their time of need.

ReportRapeGainesville.org was created to be a source of information while also providing a way to securely submit a report of sexual assault anonymously. The report will allow the Gainesville Police Department detectives who investigate sexual assaults, and victim advocates who work with the Rape Crisis Center, to get a truer picture of the incidences of sexual assault in our city.

Another primary goal of the website is to encourage victims to seek confidential help through the Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center, or from any of the many resources listed on the website.

The extent to which a victim heals from a sexual assault is sometimes directly related to talking to the right person about it.
